Se han revelado los nominados de los Premios BAFTA 2023 y Guillermo del Toro y su versión de Pinocho están nominados en tres categorías: Mejor película de animación, Mejor score original y Mejor diseño de producción.

Pinocho competirá en la terna de mejor película contra "Marcel, la concha con los zapatos puestos", "El gato con botas: el último deseo" y "Red".

"Los espíritus de la isla" y "Todo En Todas Partes Al Mismo Tiempo" lograron diez candidaturas cada una, seguidas por "Elvis" que tiene nueve y "Tár" con cinco.

La película "Argentina, 1985", dirigida por el argentino Santiago Mitre, está nominado a mejor película de habla no inglesa. La cinta cuenta la historia de los fiscales Julio Strassera y Luis Moreno Ocampo, que en 1985 decidieron investigar y enjuiciar a la dictadura militar argentina, sin dejarse intimidar por las amenazas que recibieron ellos y sus familias.

La entrega de los galardones se realizará el próximo 19 de febrero en el Royal Festival Hall, en el centro de Southbank, en Londres.
