Guadalajara, Jalisco. 

Estaba cantado y se logró. La cinta ‘Pinocho’, del mexicano Guillermo del Toro, fue nominada al Oscar como Mejor Película Animada.

La cinta del tapatío competirá en la terna junto con, 'Marcel the Shell with Shoes On', 'El gato con botas 2', 'The Sea Beast' y 'Turning Red', mismas cintas a las que ya les ganó en los Globo de Oro.

Con esto, Guillermo del Toro contabiliza 6 nominaciones al Óscar, en lo que va de su carrera cinematográfica.

Entre los nominados, también se encuentra a Mejor Fotografía el trabajo de Darius Khondji en Bardo de Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Alfonso Cuarón, quien trabajó en la producción del cortometraje Le Pupille, fue nominado en la categoría Mejor Cortometraje Live Action.

La próxima ceremonia de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas se llevará a cabo el 12 de marzo bajo la conducción de Jimmy Kimmel, desde Los Ángeles.

El filme 'Todo a la vez en todas partes' es la favorita con 11 nominaciones. Le siguen 'Almas en pena de Inisherin', 'Sin novedad en el frente', ambas con nueve nominaciones, 'Elvis' de Baz Luhrmann con ocho y la película 'Los Fabelman' de Steven Spielberg se ha llevado siete nominaciones.
